MCD Launches Massive Clean-Up Drive for Global AI Summit in Delhi

• The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has initiated an extensive clean-up and beautification drive across the city ahead of the India–AI Impact Summit 2026.
• The summit, scheduled from February 16 to 20 at Bharat Mandapam, will host global leaders, CEOs, and academicians, drawing international attention to Delhi.
• Zonal deputy commissioners are directed to ensure high standards of cleanliness, infrastructure upkeep, and beautification in areas frequented by delegates, including venues, hotels, major roads, and markets.
• The drive includes clearing encroachments, illegal vendors, stray animals, and unauthorised advertisements, alongside regular garbage collection and maintenance of streetlights and public toilets.
• Citywide branding for the AI Impact Summit will replace old G20 stickers, and the horticulture department will enhance green cover; a 24x7 control room will manage emergencies.
