Mizoram Assembly Budget Session Kicks Off February 17; CM Lalduhoma to Present Budget

•The Mizoram Assembly's budget session is scheduled to commence on February 17 and conclude by March 12.
•Chief Minister Lalduhoma, also holding the finance portfolio, will present the Budget for the 2026-27 financial year after February 20.
•The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) met to discuss the session's detailed program, rescheduling the budget presentation from February 19.
•The rescheduling was requested by CM Lalduhoma for additional budget preparation time following the Union Budget presentation on February 1.
•This will be the sixth session of the 9th Mizoram Legislative Assembly since the ZPM government took office on December 8, 2023.
