MoRTH Road Execution to Moderate, Toll Growth at 6-8%: ICRA Report

•MoRTH road construction projected to moderate to 9,000-9,500 km in FY2026-27 due to sustained slowdown in project awarding.
•Toll growth is forecasted at 6-8% for FY2026-27, with healthy collections expected in FY2025-26 (7-9% growth).
•Inflation-linked toll rate for FY2026-27 likely to increase by approximately 3.3% for newer projects and 2.5-3.0% for older projects.
•ICRA projects MoRTH's road awards at 7,250-7,750 km for FY2025-26, similar to FY2024-25 but lower than previous years.
•Competition in NHAI/MoRTH projects remains stiff, with significant bidding discounts observed for both EPC and HAM projects.
