MSRTC to launch National Common Mobility Card for cashless travel

  • Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will implement the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) system.
  • The smart card will be mandatory for passengers availing social concessions, announced Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik.
  • NCMC offers accurate concession recording, transparent reimbursement, and convenient cashless transactions.
  • Specific NCMC cards will be issued for students, senior citizens, women, disabled passengers, freedom fighters, journalists, and awardees.
  • The card costs Rs 199 (new) or Rs 149 (for existing smart card holders), with a minimum wallet balance of Rs 100 and recharge options via ETIM, website, app, or agents.
