• A Mumbai woman was defrauded of Rs 6.5 lakh by online fraudsters.
• Scammers claimed her gas supply would be disconnected due to unpaid bills.
• The victim received a text message instructing her to contact a gas firm official and download a payment link.
• Upon downloading the link, fraudsters gained access to her bank account, fraudulently debiting Rs 6,53,263.
• A case has been registered under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Information Technology Act.
