Nadda: Over Rs 500 Crore Released to Punjab for Health in FY 2025-26

• Union Health Minister J P Nadda announced Rs 572.66 crore released to Punjab for the 2025-26 fiscal under the National Health Mission (NHM).
• Funds are allocated for upgrading sub-health and primary health centres, delivering 12 packages of basic healthcare services.
• Services include reproductive and child health, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) screening, mental health, and trauma care.
• Government initiatives like Janani Suraksha Yojana, Anemia Mukt Bharat, and Universal Immunization Programme aim to improve maternal and child health.
• Various programs such as National Tuberculosis Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases are in operation.
