Narayanan Namboothiri Appointed Guruvayur Melsanthi After 20+ Attempts

• T M Narayanan Namboothiri from Cheruppulassery, Palakkad, selected as Guruvayur Melsanthi.
• He will serve a six-month term starting April 1 at the Lord Krishna Temple.
• Selection was made through a traditional draw of lots from 35 qualified candidates out of 49 applicants.
• Narayanan Namboothiri had applied for the Melsanthi position more than 20 times previously.
• He will assume charge on March 31 night after observing 12 days of bhajan.
