Nepal Elections: CPN-UML, RSP Unveil Ambitious Manifestos for March 5 Polls
•Nepal's major parties, CPN-UML and RSP, released their manifestos ahead of the March 5 general elections.
•CPN-UML, led by K P Sharma Oli, focuses on good governance, development, employment, and social justice, pledging one million youth jobs in five years.
•RSP, led by Ravi Lamichhane, unveiled a 100-point commitment paper, proposing constitutional amendments for a directly elected executive head and a fully proportionate parliament.
•RSP also aims for energy trade agreements with India and Bangladesh, balanced diplomacy, and an East-West electric railway connecting to Indian and Chinese networks.
•Nepali Congress, the largest democratic party, released its manifesto with the slogan "sustainable infrastructure, strong economy, secure future, and developed Nepal," prioritizing economic growth and living standards.
