Nirupama Shatters Two National Records, Bidusmita Dominates Junior Weightlifting

• Nirupama Devi of Railways broke two national records in the senior women’s 63kg category at the National Weightlifting Championships.
• She secured gold with an overall lift of 221kg (94kg snatch, 127kg clean & jerk), setting new national standards in clean & jerk and total.
• Odisha’s Bidusmita Bhoi dominated the junior section, winning gold and setting three national records in snatch, clean & jerk, and overall total with a 206kg lift.
• Assam’s Ditimoni Sonowal took silver in the senior category, while Bidusmita claimed bronze.
• Karangi Tharangini of Andhra Pradesh won gold in the youth section with a 182kg effort.
