No fertiliser shortage despite West Asia crisis, govt assures adequate stocks
•Government asserts no fertiliser shortage in India despite the West Asia conflict, assuring "more than adequate" stocks for the upcoming Kharif season.
•External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated urea stocks are higher than last year, and DAP stocks are double of the previous period.
•NPK stock position is also significantly higher compared to last year, with domestic urea production set to exceed nominal consumption.
•India's partners have assured uninterrupted fertiliser supplies, and global tenders issued earlier received a good response.
•Bulk of ordered quantities expected by end of March, with comfortable stocks anticipated by May 15, when Kharif demand peaks.
