North Delhi: Notorious Snatcher Farman (40+ Cases) Arrested After 36-Hour Stakeout

• Delhi Police apprehended Farman, a 26-year-old notorious snatcher with over 40 criminal cases, after a meticulously planned 36-hour operation in North Delhi.
• Farman, a history-sheeter from New Usmanpur, was caught near Maurice Nagar while retrieving a stolen motorcycle used in a mobile snatching incident near Khanna Market on March 7.
• Police traced the stolen bike through CCTV footage and technical surveillance; during his arrest, three snatched mobile phones and the motorcycle were recovered.
• Farman, a drug addict, committed snatchings across areas like Subzi Mandi, Kashmere Gate, Seelampur, and Mukherjee Nagar, selling stolen phones cheaply.
• Separately, the Crime Branch busted a racket selling counterfeit iPhone spare parts in Rohini, arresting five shopkeepers and seizing items worth Rs 1.6 crore.
