Odisha CM Lays Foundation for Textile Park, Data Centre in Keonjhar

• Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi laid foundation stones for a Rs 100-crore textile park and a Rs 187-crore disaster recovery and data centre in Keonjhar.
• The textile park will feature a Hindalco garment manufacturing unit producing 2.4 million garments annually for domestic and global markets, including brands like Louis Philippe and Van Heusen.
• This initiative aims to diversify Keonjhar's industrial landscape beyond mining, creating a multi-sector hub for industrial growth and employment.
• The disaster recovery and data centre will serve as a backup to the state data centre in Bhubaneswar, ensuring uninterrupted digital services and data safety.
• Keonjhar was chosen for the data centre due to its lower earthquake risk, supporting over 400 online government services.
