Odisha Emerges as Key FinTech, InsurTech Hub: Minister Mukesh Mahaling

• Odisha IT Minister Mukesh Mahaling stated the state is becoming a major hub for FinTech and InsurTech, aligning with India's digital growth agenda.
• MoUs were signed between Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) and Startup Policy Forum, and between Corporate Champions of BharatNetra and Odisha's IT Department.
• The partnerships aim to create an ecosystem for skilling and employing approximately 7,000 youths in FinTech and InsurTech over the next five years.
• Chief Secretary Anu Garg highlighted Odisha's strong economic fundamentals, including a USD 112 billion economy, 69% working-age population, and best fiscal health record.
• Odisha targets creating 10 million jobs by 2027, scaling to a USD 500 billion economy by 2036, and USD 1.5 trillion by 2047, while focusing on innovation and global linkages.
