Odisha Minister Urges Public: Call Me If Officers Demand Bribe

• The minister emphasized that paying a bribe makes the person equally guilty and urged citizens not to pay, even if it causes delays.
• He acknowledged bribery as a major issue in his department and stated that stringent actions are being taken against corrupt officials, with nearly 300 OAS officers facing proceedings.
• The department's Additional Chief Secretary Arabinda Padhee urged employees to adopt integrity, professionalism, and sensitivity (IPS) in their conduct.
• Padhee also prohibited tobacco, smoking, and alcohol consumption during work, warning of strict action for violations.
