Odisha to Celebrate 'Odia Pakhya' Fortnight from April 1-14, Promoting Culture and Language

• The Odisha government will celebrate 'Odia Pakhya' (fortnight) from April 1 (Utkal Diwas) to April 14 (Odia new year).
• Odia Language, Literature and Culture Minister Suryabanshi Suraj announced plans for a larger celebration this year, building on last year's success.
• The fortnight will feature diverse activities including Utkal Diwas, Traditional Attire Day, Folk Art Day, Traditional Food Day, blood donation drives, and youth writers’ conferences.
• A dedicated logo, website, and quiz competition with digital certificates are planned to engage the public, especially youth and students.
• The initiative aims to reconnect people with Odia traditions, heritage, and promote the Odia language, literature, and culture at all levels, involving non-resident Odias.
