ONGC Gas Pipeline Leak in Andhra's Konaseema District Controlled
- •A gas pipeline belonging to ONGC leaked in Turpupalem village, Kesanapalli 1 cluster, Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district, Andhra Pradesh.
- •The leak occurred on Sunday while a workover rig was being shifted from Kesanapalli-1 to Kesanapalli-48 cluster.
- •ONGC asset support manager KVK Raju stated that a small fitting (flow line) was damaged during transportation, causing the leak.
- •The leakage, estimated at about 500 cubic metres, was brought under control within an hour by isolating and depressurising the pipeline, then replacing the damaged valve.
- •This incident follows a massive ONGC gas well fire disaster in the same district less than a month ago.
