ONGC Q3 Net Profit Up 1.6% on New Well Gas, Lower Levies

ONGC reported a 1.6% increase in standalone net profit for the December quarter, reaching Rs 8,372 crore.
•
Higher realisations from new wells and reduced statutory levies offset the impact of lower crude oil prices.
•
Crude oil realisations fell to USD 61.63 per barrel from USD 72.57, while gas sales price improved to USD 6.59 per million British thermal units.
•
New well gas contributed Rs 294 crore in incremental revenue in Q3 and Rs 944 crore in April-December.
•
Statutory levies decreased to Rs 5,975 crore from Rs 6,630 crore, leading to a 6.4% fall in gross revenues.
