ONGC Q3 Net Profit Up 1.6% on New Well Gas, Lower Levies

•ONGC reported a 1.6% increase in standalone net profit for the December quarter, reaching Rs 8,372 crore.
•Higher realisations from new wells and reduced statutory levies offset the impact of lower crude oil prices.
•Crude oil realisations fell to USD 61.63 per barrel from USD 72.57, while gas sales price improved to USD 6.59 per million British thermal units.
•New well gas contributed Rs 294 crore in incremental revenue in Q3 and Rs 944 crore in April-December.
•Statutory levies decreased to Rs 5,975 crore from Rs 6,630 crore, leading to a 6.4% fall in gross revenues.
