Pakistan Police Kill Three TTP Terrorists in KPK Province After Check Post Attack

• Three Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists were killed and nine injured in a gun battle in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province.
• TTP gunmen attacked the Khonia Khel Police Post in Bannu district, bordering North Waziristan, on Tuesday night.
• Alert police personnel repelled the attack, forcing the terrorists to retreat after a heavy exchange of fire.
• One slain attacker was identified as commander Umar Azam alias Khizmeti, and another as Shahidullah; efforts are ongoing to identify the third.
• Terrorists also attempted attacks on Ahmadzai Police Station and Fateh Khel Police Post the same night, which were successfully repelled.
