DGP Yadav praised Bawa as a 'towering figure' who laid strong foundations for professional, principled, and fearless policing.

Special DGP SS Srivastava and DIG Personnel Amneet Kondal personally conveyed respect and greetings to Bawa at his residence.
•
Bawa served as ASP, SP, SSP Ferozepur, DIG, IGP Punjab, and Director CBI in New Delhi.
•
He retired on February 28, 1985, and his career continues to inspire officers across generations.
