Punjab Police Foils Pak-Backed Terror Plot, Seizes IED in Amritsar; One Arrested

• Punjab Police foiled a terror plot backed by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
• An RDX-based improvised explosive device (IED) was recovered, and one person, Rahul Kumar alias Gaju, was arrested in Amritsar.
• Rahul Kumar, an assistant in a salon, was in contact with a foreign-based handler acting under Pakistan-based handlers' instructions.
• The accused collected the IED, concealed in a PVC pipe casing, from a designated location on the outskirts of Amritsar.
• A case has been registered under the Explosive Substances Act, Arms Act, and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
