Puri Jagannath Temple: Drones Flew Illegally 10 Times in 19 Months, Minister Reveals

•Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan informed the Odisha assembly about 10 illegal drone operations over Puri Jagannath Temple in 19 months.
•Ten cases have been registered at Singhadwar police station; 8 cases are ongoing, and final reports submitted for 2.
•The temple area is a "no flying zone" by DGCA until September 25, 2028, prohibiting drones and UAVs.
•700 people entered the temple with mobile phones without permission since June 2024, incurring Rs 6.93 lakh in penalties.
•Devotees donated over Rs 304.57 crore and 58 kg of mixed gold to the temple over various periods.
