Revenue Assistant Arrested for Bribery in Nagpur Tehsil Office

• A staffer at the additional tehsil office in Umred, Nagpur, was arrested by the Maharashtra Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
• Revenue Assistant Vijay Bhagwanji Shadmake allegedly demanded Rs 3,000 for correcting names in a 7/12 land document.
• Shadmake initially took Rs 2,000 and was caught red-handed accepting the remaining Rs 1,000.
• The arrest followed a trap laid by the ACB after the complainant approached them.
• A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act at Bela police station, and further investigation is ongoing.
