Savita opts out of Women's Hockey WC Qualifiers; Salima Tete to lead 20-member squad

Veteran goalkeeper Savita Punia withdraws from FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 Qualifiers due to personal reasons.

Midfielder Salima Tete will captain the 20-member Indian squad for the tournament in Hyderabad.

The Qualifiers, from March 8-14, will see India compete against Scotland, Uruguay, and Wales in Pool B.
