SC Grants Regular Bail to Key Accused in Rs 730 Cr AP Liquor Policy Scam
•
The Supreme Court granted regular bail to Muppidi Avinash Reddy, a key accused in the multi-crore Andhra Pradesh liquor policy scam.
•
The scam involves alleged large-scale irregularities and a structured kickback network operating between 2019 and 2024, totaling Rs 730 crore.
•
A bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and Vipul M Pancholi noted that 11 accused have already been granted bail.

Reddy had previously gone to Sri Lanka to evade arrest but later surrendered and underwent custodial interrogation.
•
The court clarified that the bail order was based on "peculiar circumstances" and should not be considered a legal precedent.
