Sebi Opens Special Window for Physical Securities Demat, Transfer from Feb 5

• Sebi has introduced a one-year special window for investors to transfer and dematerialise physical securities.
• The window will be active from February 5, 2026, to February 4, 2027.
• It aims to help investors regularise and complete transfer-cum-dematerialisation, granting rightful access to assets.
• This window is for those who couldn't transfer physical securities before April 1, 2019, due to procedural or documentation issues.
• Rejected or unattended transfer requests due to deficiencies will also be covered under this special provision.
