SIT Formed to Probe Confident Group Chairman CJ Roy's Suicide in Bengaluru

• Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged suicide of CJ Roy, Chairman of the Confident Group.
• The SIT will be led by Joint Commissioner of Police, West Zone, C. Vamshi Krishna, with Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division, Lokesh Jagalasar, as Investigating Officer.
• Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated that Roy's company was raided by the Income Tax Department in December 2025, with a chargesheet deadline of February 4.
• Roy had returned from Dubai three days prior to his death and had cooperated with Income Tax officials regarding his statement.
• Forensic teams, including SOCO and FSL, are investigating the scene, and Roy was declared dead at a nearby hospital after allegedly shooting himself.
