Six Arrested at Mumbai Airport for Hydroponic Weed Smuggling, Gold Seized

• Customs officials arrested six individuals at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport over the last seven days.
• 24 kg of hydroponic weed, valued at Rs 24.3 crore, was seized in separate cases.
• All arrested individuals had arrived from Bangkok.
• Three smuggling attempts were detected via spot profiling and Advanced Passenger Information System checks.
• Hydroponic weed was found concealed in trolley bags, while 1.3 kg of gold was hidden in clothes.
