Six Arrested in Meghalaya ATM Thefts: Nearly Rs 1 Crore Stolen

•Six individuals arrested in connection with ATM thefts totaling nearly Rs 1 crore in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district.
•Thefts occurred at Mawkriah, Smit, and Mylliem ATM booths between May 2025 and February 2026.
•Two suspects from Haryana's Nuh district, two local facilitators from Shillong, and two from Assam were apprehended.
•A Special Cell team from East Khasi Hills faced an attack while arresting suspects in Nuh, Haryana.
•Investigation is ongoing to identify and arrest other absconding gang members, says SP Vivek Syiem.
