Soldiers perform 'kanyadan' for fallen comrade's daughter, contribute Rs 6.5 lakh

•Fellow armymen performed the 'kanyadan' of Prachi, daughter of late Havildar Harendra Singh, in Baghpat (UP).
•Havildar Harendra Singh of the 21 Jat Regiment died in a road accident in Arunachal Pradesh in 2020.
•14 soldiers from the 21 Jat Regiment took leave to attend the wedding and assist the family.
•They jointly contributed Rs 6.5 lakh as part of the 'kanyadaan' ceremony.
•A video of the emotional ceremony on Monday surfaced on social media, showing soldiers carrying the bride.
