TGFSL Fire: Director Rules Out Loss of Evidence in Key Cases

• TGFSL Director Shikha Goel confirmed no destruction of evidence in high-profile cases, including cash-for-vote and phone-tapping, due to the fire.
• The fire damaged the computer forensics laboratory and other areas on the first floor of the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory building.
• Most case property material from the affected area has been retrieved and secured; a complaint has been lodged and a case registered.
• All 16 items from the 2015 cash-for-vote case were returned to the court in 2015, with no material present at FSL during the fire.
• For the phone-tapping case, 132 items were received; all but seven have been examined, and reports are under preparation for the remaining.
