TN CM Stalin inaugurates Keeladi open-air museum, showcases ancient Vaigai civilization

  • Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin virtually inaugurated the Keeladi open-air museum in Sivaganga.
  • The museum allows public viewing of original artefacts excavated from the sixth-century site.
  • Exhibits include brick walls, terracotta pipelines, and ring wells, reflecting a sophisticated urban civilization along the Vaigai river.
  • Established at a cost of Rs 24.30 crore, the museum spans 4.5 acres and features two large exhibition galleries.
  • CM also laid foundation stones for Navai Museum in Ramanathapuram and Noyyal Museum in Erode district.
