• A police constable, J B Gautam, was arrested and suspended in Agra after his live-in partner died by suicide.
• The woman allegedly took the extreme step on March 11 after Gautam refused to marry her, despite a three-year live-in relationship.
• DCP (City) Ali Abbas confirmed the incident, stating the woman wanted marriage but Gautam's refusal led to her death.
• The victim reportedly recorded a video before hanging herself, which is now part of the investigation.
• Gautam is in judicial custody, and departmental proceedings have begun for his dismissal from service.
