Uttarakhand CM Dhami Announces Mini Stadiums in Every Block for Grassroots Sports Boost

•CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the construction of mini stadiums in every block during the Budget Session in Gairsain.
•A provision for this initiative has been included in the 2026-27 budget to strengthen grassroots sports infrastructure.
•This move follows Uttarakhand's successful hosting of the 38th National Games in 2025, where it secured 103 medals.
•International-level sports infrastructure developed for the National Games will be utilized as academies for talent training.
•Sports Minister Rekha Arya stated that a mini stadium in hilly areas requires 1.18 acres of land and ₹1.70 crore.
