Domestic Investors Inject ₹1 Lakh Crore into AIFs, Reducing Foreign Capital Dependence

• Domestic share in Category I and II AIF capital rose to 55.3% by September 2025 from 50.3% in March 2024.
• Cumulative AIF commitments reached ₹15.05 lakh crore by September 2025, growing at a 30.7% CAGR.
• Nearly 80% of benchmarked equity AIF schemes made distributions by March 2025; 25% returned full paid-in capital.
• Secondary market transactions increased 32% year-on-year to ₹37,700 crore in FY25, with larger average deal sizes.
