Hyundai Creta Dominates Mid-Size SUV Segment, Outselling Tata Sierra by 10,000 Units

• Hyundai Creta sold nearly 18,000 units in January 2026, maintaining its lead in the mid-size SUV segment.
• It outsold Tata Sierra by over 10,000 units, despite new competitors like Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Kia Seltos entering the market.
• The Creta was the top-selling mid-size SUV in India with 17,921 units, followed by Maruti Suzuki Victoris (15,240 units) and Kia Seltos (10,639 units).
• Industry analysts attribute Creta's success to strong brand recall, diverse variants, feature packaging, and a wide sales and service network.
• The Creta was also India's overall top-selling SUV in CY 2025, with 2,01,122 units, slightly ahead of Tata Nexon.
