Adani Aerospace, Embraer Partner for Commercial Plane Manufacturing in India

• Adani Aerospace and Brazilian planemaker Embraer signed an MoU to develop, manufacture, and sustain a regional transport aircraft ecosystem in India.
• The partnership aims for local manufacturing of commercial planes in a phased manner under India’s Regional Transport Aircraft (RTA) programme.
• The collaboration also covers supply chain development, pilot training, and aftermarket services.
• Aviation ministry secretary Samir Sinha highlighted India's shift from a large aviation market to a manufacturing nation, aiming for global aircraft manufacturing value chain inclusion.
• The facility will assemble Embraer’s regional jets, designed for short-to-medium haul routes, typically seating 70 to 146 passengers.
