FedEx to Invest ₹2,500 Crore in Automated Cargo Hub at Navi Mumbai Airport
•
FedEx announced a ₹2,500 crore investment for a 300,000 sq ft automated air cargo hub at Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).
•
This makes FedEx the first cargo operator to announce plans at the greenfield airport, partnering with Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL).
•
The hub will serve as a regional consolidation and redistribution center, connecting India with Southeast Asia, West Asia, Europe, and the US.
•
The facility will feature automated sorting, dimensional scanning, high-speed screening, and dedicated aircraft parking bays.
•
Expected to create over 6,000 direct and indirect jobs, the investment reflects FedEx's long-term commitment to India's trade corridors.
