Hims & Hers Launches Cheaper Wegovy Knockoff Pill; Novo Nordisk Vows Legal Action

•Telehealth company Hims & Hers announced a cheaper, off-brand version of the weight-loss pill Wegovy.
•Novo Nordisk, maker of Wegovy, vowed to sue Hims, calling the product an "unapproved, inauthentic, and untested knockoff."
•Hims' compounded pill will cost $49 for the first month, then $99 monthly, significantly less than Novo's $149.
•Despite FDA warnings, Hims has sold compounded versions due to their status as customized medications not subject to strict federal regulations.
•Novo Nordisk's shares fell over 8% following Hims' announcement.
