NMDC's Iron Ore Production Soars 51% in March, Sales Up 40%

• State-run miner NMDC reported a significant increase in iron ore production and sales for March.
• Total iron ore production reached 5.35 million tonnes (mt), a 51% jump from 3.55 mt last year.
• Iron ore sales also rose by 40% to 5.90 mt, up from 4.21 mt in March of the previous year.
• Growth was driven by higher output from operations in Chhattisgarh (4.01 mt production) and Karnataka (1.34 mt production).
• For the financial year up to March 2026, cumulative production hit 53.15 mt and sales reached 50.23 mt.
