DGCA Issues 352 Show-Cause Notices to Airlines in 2 Years; IndiGo, Air India Top List

• DGCA issued 352 show-cause notices to scheduled commercial airlines over two years for regulation violations.
• IndiGo received the highest number with 98 notices, followed by Air India with 84.
• Other airlines receiving notices include Air India Express (65), SpiceJet (45), Akasa Air (17), Alliance Air (23), Fly Big (12), AIX Connect (7), and Star Air (1).
• Out of 352 notices, fines were imposed in 139 cases, warnings in 113, and only 7 responses were satisfactory.
• DGCA monitors fleet expansion, On-Time Performance (OTP), and route rationalization; 8 new aircraft inducted this year.
