GIFT Nifty Shatters Records: US $23.48 Billion Turnover in Single Day
•GIFT Nifty achieved its highest-ever single-day turnover of US $23.48 billion (Rs 2.13 lakh crore) across 457,989 contracts.
•This new record, set on February 20, 2026, surpasses the previous high of US $22.88 billion recorded on January 23, 2024.
•Trading turnover on NSEIX has seen exponential growth since GIFT Nifty's full-scale operations began on July 3, 2023.
•Since its full-scale launch, GIFT Nifty has accumulated over 60.05 million contracts and a total turnover of US $2.76 trillion.
•GIFT Nifty, an offshore version of India’s Nifty 50 index, was formerly known as SGX Nifty and helps attract foreign participation in Indian equity derivatives.
