Bengaluru Braces for Summer: 448 Water-Critical Areas Identified by BWSSB
•BWSSB identifies 448 "critical points" prone to water scarcity in Bengaluru, preparing for potential summer shortages.
•A summer preparedness plan costing Rs 10.14 crore focuses on strengthening supply systems in vulnerable neighborhoods.
•The West Zone has the highest number of vulnerable locations (146 areas), followed by the North (122), South (121), and East (59) zones.
•BWSSB will deploy 1,260 Syntex storage tanks and 221 tankers, including "Sanchari Cauvery" vehicles, to distribute water.
