Mysuru–Bengaluru Highway Goes Barrier-Free: MLFF Tolling System From June

  • The Mysuru–Bengaluru Highway (NH 275) will implement a Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) tolling system starting June.
  • This new barrier-free system aims to eliminate long waits and traffic jams at toll plazas, especially during peak hours.
  • Traditional toll booths will be replaced by overhead gantries with GPS, RFID FASTag readers, and ANPR cameras for automatic toll deduction.
  • Vehicles can pass through at normal speeds without stopping, as tolls are deducted automatically from FASTag accounts.
  • The system, similar to one in Gujarat, will be installed at Gananguru, Seshagirihalli, and Kaniminike, with no change in toll rates.

Why It Matters: The Mysuru–Bengaluru Highway will introduce barrier-free MLFF tolling from June for faster, smoother travel.
