UP Secures Landmark Rs 2.27 Lakh Crore AI Centre Deal in Davos

• Uttar Pradesh signed its largest-ever investment deal, a $25-billion (Rs 2.27 lakh crore) agreement with AM Green at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
• The deal is for a 1-gigawatt (GW) AI hyperscale data centre in Greater Noida, designed to process data at scale and power next-generation AI workloads.
• This project, valued at more than half of UP's annual budget, will be implemented over five years, with the first phase operational by 2028 and full capacity by 2030.
• The AI hyperscaler will house nearly five lakh advanced high-performance chipsets, enabling complex AI tasks beyond basic data storage, and aims to be among India's largest AI-focused data centres.
