Delhi Air Quality Improves Temporarily, 'Very Poor' Outlook Looms

  • Delhi's AQI improved to 235 on Saturday morning from 380 the previous day, after weeks of 'very poor' to 'severe' pollution.
  • Strong surface winds of 15-20km/hr contributed to the temporary improvement in air quality.
  • Nine stations recorded moderate AQI, including Mandir Marg (128), Bawana (145), and IGI Airport (148).
  • However, the Air Quality Early Warning System predicts 'very poor' air quality for the next six days from Sunday.
  • CAQM revoked GRAP Stage III but Stages I and II remain in force across NCR to prevent further deterioration.

Why It Matters: Delhi sees temporary air quality improvement, but 'very poor' conditions are expected to return soon.
