The 'largest airport' claim is based on future projections and its multi-phase expansion plan extending to 2040-2050.

Once fully developed, Jewar Airport is planned to cover around 7,200 acres with up to six runways and 70-150 million passenger capacity.

Currently, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad is the largest by area (5,500 acres), and Delhi's IGI Airport is the busiest.

Jewar has the potential to surpass IGI Airport in size and become one of Asia's largest airports upon full execution of all phases.
