ATM Withdrawal Gone Wrong: Man Gets Rs 3 Lakh After 9-Year Battle for Rs 10,000

• After repeated complaints and appeals to the consumer forum, Bank of Baroda was ordered to pay Rs 3 lakh.
• The bank argued the ATM belonged to SBI and the transaction appeared successful, but the consumer forum dismissed this.
• The commission cited RBI rules for a 5-day refund and ordered the bank to refund Rs 10,000 with 9% interest.
• Bank of Baroda was also directed to pay Rs 100 per day for 3,288 days of delay, Rs 3,000 for harassment, and Rs 2,000 for legal expenses.
