•Team India arrived in Ahmedabad for the T20 World Cup 2026 final, greeted by thousands of fans at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
•Local star Axar Patel, known as 'Bapu', received an overwhelming welcome, with chants of 'Axar-Axar' echoing through the airport.
•Instead of boarding the official team bus, Axar Patel opted to leave in a private car directly for his home in Gujarat.
•Being from Gujarat, Axar's home is near Ahmedabad, allowing him to depart from team protocol to greet fans and head home.
•The rest of Team India proceeded to their hotel by official bus, preparing for the final against New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium.
