Bangladesh Launches Women's BPL: First Edition Set for April 3-15

•Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the inaugural Women's Bangladesh Premier League (WBPL) to run from April 3 to 15.
•Three teams will compete in the first edition of the WBPL.
•Local players will be selected via a draft system, with franchises also able to sign overseas players.
•Bangladesh women’s captain Nigar Sultana believes the tournament will aid preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
•Bringing in top international players is expected to significantly enhance the quality and experience for local cricketers.
