•Kirti Azad, 1983 World Cup winner, had a dramatic political journey from BJP MP to suspension, then joined Congress and later TMC, winning in 2024.
•Gautam Gambhir, a two-time World Cup hero, joined BJP in 2019, won East Delhi, but announced retirement from active politics in 2024 to focus on cricket.
